Vacancy: Senior Java Developer

United States Citizenship is required by our client for this position.

The Senior Java Developer is responsible for analyzing solutions and programming Java based internet applications.

Duties include:

  • Involvement in the entire development life cycle including concept, design, and quality assurance testing.
  • Transforming user/business requirements into technological solutions; completing programming, test conversion, troubleshooting, debugging, and requirements analysis utilizing Java.
  • Developing and deploying application code, monitoring functionality, and acting on production and non-production issues.
  • Utilizing tools and concepts, including but not limited to J2EE, JSP, EJB, SQL, ORM, XML, and Object Oriented Design.
  • Coordinating with web developers and other IT professionals on matters of integrating Java into web applications for business purposes.
  • Assisting with web architectural development.

Experience and Education:

  • Performs work under general supervision.
  • Handles moderately complex issues and problems, and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff.
  • Possesses solid working knowledge of subject matter.
  • May provide leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to a subordinate group.
  • Requires a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related discipline
  • Requires at least 4 years of experience working as a Java/Web Developer.

Technical Expertise (Required):

  • Core Java
  • Struts 2 MVC
  • JSP
  • Spring
  • SOAP and REST web Services
  • Hibernate
  • Java PersistenceAPI (JPA)
  • Basic to Intermediate SQL skills – SQL Server preferred.
  • HTML/CSS ( For front end design)

Additional Expertise (Desired but not mandatory)

  • Knowledge working with any Email server (Receiving and sending emails using any mail server).
  • 508 Compliance.
  • Spring Security
  • Basic experience with LDAP
  • Basic experience with Active Directory
  • Angular Framework
